According to Article III, subsection 1 of the by-laws of Pittsburg Volunteer Fire Department:

“Owners of real or personal property within the fire service area attain membership when they subscribe for service through the payment of a subscriber's fee of $15.00 and the annual membership fee. Annual membership fees are due and payable as of July 1 of each year. Dues become delinquent on 31 August and will require payment of a penalty in the amount of $15.00 for reinstatement. Membership and subscriber's fees are non-transferable. Dues for new members will be prorated at (1/2) one half of the annual rate after 1 January.”

Properties not considered covered will be charged according to the bylaws section covering non-members.
